Traveling Man

The hardest part of the trip back to Haiti was the drive to the airport in Ft. Lauderdale, which is normally a 2-hour drive. Just before Palm Beach I could see a huge, low, black cloud looming ahead. I drove right into a torrential downpour that was so intense the wipers running at the fastest speed could hardly keep the windshield clear. I moved to the far-right lane and keep the speed under 50mph. Many cars were zooming past me. Water spaying up from the wheels of large trucks added to the decrease in visibility. I was nervous. Oddly enough, on the other side of the storm, when there was no rain and some sunlight, there were numerous accidents.
