Yesterday, at 4:30 a.m., before we took turns using the one bathroom with an actual working shower, I explained to John Dear how the shower works. I turned it on and a trickle of cold water came out. “Thanks for the cold water,” he said. Afterwards, we retreated to the wicker chair room for coffee before heading out to the Missionaries of Charity.
