In a rare exercise of caution, I opted not to drive to the Sister’s yesterday morning. I did not stay home out of fear. I was tired. Friday was emotionally exhausting, not just because of any trauma at the hands of the protestors. At every turn here, you meet obstacles to overcome even in the simplest of tasks. Somedays is seems that chaos is just an ingrained part of life in Haiti and all attempts at bringing order are fruitless.
