Jarline was not about to let me return to the hospital by myself. We left Santa Chiara yesterday at 6:35am. Thanks to the intense Sunday night storm, the very steep road down to the slum was a river of mud. I didn’t so much drive the car…it just slid down the bumpy, wet road. After passing through countless puddles in the slum, we reached the main road.
