On Sunday morning, Immanuela and Jarline were about to set out on foot from Santa Chiara. They were headed for Cite Soleil via tap-taps in order to bring a little money to their grandmother. They had each taken a little from their meager February pay, which amounted to a total of $20.00. I suggested that taking such an arduous trip for such a small amount of money was not very practical.
