Tuesday was a wonderful day. Until it wasn’t. I was so happy to be returning to Santa Chiara on the feast day of St. Clare of Assisi. The usual over-the-top enthusiastic welcome from the kids was a source of true joy. As I walked slowly across the yard to the stairs to the second floor, a big smile graced my face.
