From July 16, 2021 Yesterday was the feast day of St. Bonaventure. For Franciscans, St. Bonaventure is an important figure in Franciscan spirituality. I had not been to Mass at the MC sisters since my return to Haiti, but I managed to go yesterday. I wore my St. Bonaventure University t-shirt.
From July 15, 2021 Yesterday a 17-year-old kid showed up for a summer job. His name is Bidengy. Mitch Albomasked me to give him a “job,” and he would cover his salary. All I knew was that Mitch said hewas a terrific kid and that his brother lived at Mitch’s place. Mitch said his name was Benji.
From July 14, 2021 Yesterday morning at around 9:00 I went downstairs and was pleased to see Wendley teaching the kids chess. Later in the week, kids from the SAKALA youth program serving Cite Soleil will be visiting Santa Chiara to teach our kids other educational games.
