I’d known for some time that after seven years I really needed a break from the grind on Haiti. I just didn’t realize how badly I needed time away …not to do more work in Florida… but time alone with Stéphanie. It was truly wonderful. No kids knocking on the door at all hours of day and night. Just the two of us…enjoying the freedom to simply take walks in the evening.
