On Thursday night, I set my alarm for 4:00am, which would give me two hours and forty-five minutes to get ready to leave for the airport. I was really eager to get out of Haiti. Not that the current 20-day trip to Haiti was especially difficult or demanding. It was not. There had been no emergencies, no hard days, no insurmountable problems, no encounter with violent protests.
