On the night before Christmas Eve (last Friday) Steph and the staff worked until 11:00pm preparing the decorations on the stage for the big celebration. Joined by the older kids, they were back at it at 9:00am on Christmas Eve. The event was scheduled to start at 1:00pm. It got under way at 2:00pm…which by Haitian standards, that is not very late.

I’m still sorting out all the photos from Christmas Eve as they kids are enjoying their gifts. The stage has been dismantled and the tree and ornaments have been stored for next Christmas. So, for today’s Journal, I’m taking an easy path and sharing photos of some of our staff taken on Saturday. The herculean work the staff has performed during this stressful year needs to be recognized and applauded.
