From January 7, 2023
This is my 10th full day in Florida. Tomorrow, I return to Haiti. The hope was this would be a time
to rest and relax. I did neither. The days with jammed with things that had to be done. Recording
the narration for the essay I wrote for Notre Dame Magazine (“The Trials of Haiti”) consumed
about six hours spread over the three days. It took lots of time to prepare all the Journals featuring
photos from the Christmas celebration. I had a typed “to do” list that was a page long.
