I have felt for the last eight years that I was the least qualified person to be running Santa Chiara…and virtually anyone could do a better job of running it. How did I last so long? How did I overcome so many problems, so many lying and cheating staffers? How did I handle the harshness of life, the lack of hot water and air conditioning? How did I put up with the insects, the rats, and the family mice under the couch that seemed to like watching football?
