Before we embarked on building the new dorm and the second schoolhouse for the older girls, I was given an estimate for the construction costs. Based on the experience of a few months ago when we partially knocked down our first school to build the new Santa Chiara Academy, I had a rough idea of what it would cost to build the second school house and the new dorm. But there were mitigating factors that increased the cost of each.
