Last night, I had a 50-minute interview with a reporter from the Miami Herald. She was working on a story about the humane pardon visa program. I told the reporter of how Dr. Steph and I met and how weeks after beginning her part-time job at Santa Chiara in May 2020 she was suddenly treating me for Covid. She and the doctors she brought into see me all thought that I would not survive. But I did. Once I was fully recovered, we barely spoke to each other. She was in the clinic; I was in my office. It took a year before we really began talking to each other about anything other than Santa Chiara.
