Traveling to Haiti every month is exhausting. If the flight leaves Ft. Lauderdale at six in the morning, I must leave my island home in Ft. Pierce before three in the morning. Yesterday’s flight departed at 9:10am, so I left for the airport at 5:15am. On Sunday morning at that hour, there is no traffic, leaving plenty of time to make to the departure, grabbing something to eat along the way.
