Yesterday was the feast of a saint I greatly admire, even though his pen never bent toward the secular. His writing, which utilized the new technology of his day to spread his message, focused primarily on the Immaculate Conception, which is a doctrine that is often misunderstood and frequently confused with the Incarnation. The doctrine of the Immaculate Conception says that Mary was conceived without sin so her womb could nurture the Sinless One. The saint is Maximillian Maria Kolbe.
