The situation in Haiti is very difficult to understand if you were not born and raised in Haiti. Still, many Haitians are at a loss when it comes to explaining the reasons for the violence and corruption. I’ve been in Haiti for nearly eight years and my head spins when I try to evaluate what is happening. For me, just struggling for the survival of Santa Chiara occupies all my time and energy.
