When Tamysha was taken from us, I was upset and angry that we never did anything to legally obtain custody of her. I wanted Ecarlatte to confer a lawyer who could undo what we did with the papers for Judeline and Bency, as well as obtain parental rights for Naïve, Peter Francis, and Clare Marie. I wanted to clearly know our options and the cost for making everything legal in the eyes of both the Haitian and the US governments so when we travel to Florida for a week we could take one or two of the kids with us. Ecarlatte spoke to our neighbor about all this, and he knew a man in our neighborhood was authorized to create legal documents for the government to process. The man came to visit us on Thursday.
