After ten days in Haiti, the tedium of life is wearing me down. Part of the problem is that I’m only getting on average about 5½ hours of sleep a night. I so treasure the few pre-dawn and late night hours of stillness and silence, I won’t use them for sleeping. Those precious hours are my time for reflection and writing. At this time, my writing is focused on a new work exploring the undocumented migration, a problem which deeply touches my soul.
